Campaign Goals

As we enter a pivotal time for the compostables industry, unification and collaboration are essential for collective progress. Support BPI’s 2026 engagement with Lucas Public Affairs, secured to support strategic relationships, legislature and constituent targeting aligned with BPI’s 2026 California bill efforts, as well as the development and distribution of high-impact communications assets, educational tools, and engagement initiatives that strengthen BPI’s organizational voice and advance understanding of compostable products and composting systems. 



Why it Matters

Now more than ever, amplifying BPI’s communications work is essential for translating science, policy, and standards into clear, credible, and actionable information for decision-makers, policymakers, businesses, composters, environmental groups, and the public. These initiatives address one of the most critical challenges facing compostables today—not a lack of data, but a need for effective education, storytelling, and alignment across the value chain. 

Through strategic messaging, multimedia assets, stakeholder education, targeted outreach, and BPI’s partnership with Lucas Public Affairs, BPI builds trust, corrects misconceptions, and elevates the role of certified compostables within circular bioeconomy solutions.  

By pooling resources with other BPI members, sponsors help rapidly scale communications efforts with a unified voice, beyond what is funded with Membership dollars—amplifying impact, reinforcing trust in certified products and materials, and maximizing the value of collective investment at a pivotal moment. Our shared success hinges on quickly achieving more market clarity, public confidence, and informed policy conversations—sponsoring BPI’s communications initiatives is a strategic investment in long-term credibility and growth. 



Securing a Sponsorship

  • Via the BPI website, sponsors will use a Microsoft Form to submit their desire to sponsor and agree to the terms of a sponsorship agreement

  • Existing BPI Member organizations and individuals 


Timeline

  • BPI is accepting sponsorships for Communications through the entirety of 2026, but not all sponsorship benefits may be available or applicable based on the time of donation.
  • Time horizon of sponsorship benefits is 2026 


Sponsorship Level: Trailblazer

Investment Level: $20,000+  

Benefits: 

  • Strategic Input: Participate in small-group content reviews to ensure message resonance
  • Early Access: Visibility into communications priorities, timelines, and advocacy strategies
  • Audience Targeting: Identify 3 target demographics; BPI includes one custom distribution target based on sponsor’s preferences
  • Video Assets: Access to B-roll when video assets are developed
  • Recognition: Lead supporter acknowledgment across select communications
  • Branding: Optional logo placement on BPI website/member hub
  • Exclusive Rights: First-look or co-hosting opportunities on sponsor channels
  • Performance Reporting: Full analytics and post-campaign insights, as applicable
  • Custom CTAs: Two tailored call-to-action overlays or end-screen prompts per year
  • Spokesperson Preference: Priority consideration for interviews if relevant
  • Content Highlight: One dedicated social media post showcasing the sponsor’s role in advancing circularity

Investment Level: $10,000+  

Benefits: 

  • Topic Influence: Suggest themes or featured individuals to staff 
  • Audience Alignment: Identify two target demographics (geography and audience type)
  • Branding: Optional logo placement on BPI website
  • Video Assets: Access to one B-roll segment
  • Performance Snapshot: Engagement metrics overview
  • Content Association: Mention in social copy or tags
  • Recognition: Acknowledgement at BPI events and member updates tied to communications assets 


Sponsorship Level: Changemaker

Investment Level: $5,000+  

Benefits:

  • Visuals: Limited use of sponsor-provided product shots

BPI Sacramento Legislation Day

This event brings members and partners together at the California State Capitol for a full day of coordinated advocacy, education, and relationship-building with state lawmakers and staff. Hosted by BPI and supported by Houston Magnani and Associates (HMA), the program begins with a morning briefing to align participants on key legislative priorities, talking points, and Capitol logistics. Attendees will then participate in a full slate of scheduled meetings with legislators.
